Thomas Costelloe, PHD

Thomas obtained his Biomedical Science degree from National University of Ireland, Galway. Subsequently, he completed his PhD studies on the epigenetic regulation of the DNA Damage Response at the same institute. Thomas continued with post-doctoral research at Leiden University Medical Centre with high impact findings on the role of chromatin remodelling complexes in DNA repair and neurodevelopmental regulation.

From there, Thomas combined his in-depth scientific knowledge with business concepts, working as a strategy consultant at the interface of science and business. He developed and led funding acquisition strategies for academic and industrial partners in life sciences, health tech and medical devices. Thomas has in-depth knowledge of the funding landscape coupled to a strong network across academia and industry. As Chief Operating Officer, Thomas will use his experience to drive innovation at IMIHGOM B.V. and our partners.
